How Can You Help?

Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving. - Hank Rosso

Donations

Direct donations are one of the most effective ways of helping support the Broomfield High School band programs, as they ensure that we receive 100% of donated funds. We use both Zeffy and Venmo for fundraising and donations.

Your donation allows us to:

  • Purchase new instruments

  • Repair and refurbish instruments

  • Maintain and update marching band uniforms

  • Maintain and update concert band attire

  • Purchase sheet music

  • Purchase marching band drill

  • Provide transportation to performances and competitions

  • Help pay for additional student instruction costs

  • Provide financial assistance to students in need

If you prefer, donations can be mailed to:

King Soopers Community Rewards

Everyone needs groceries. Why not let some of the money you’re already spending go to support the Broomfield High School band programs?

When you make purchases for groceries, gas, or other items at any King Soopers, City Market, or Kroger store using your King Soopers Loyalty Card, a percentage of your purchase comes back to us!

Penny Wars!

Starting at the end of band camp and running through the beginning of school, each section (staff included) will receive a container for collecting money. Points are gained by adding pennies or checks, while silver coins and bills subtract points. The section with the most points at the end wins Penny Wars!

Put your spare change toward a great cause! Donate to help, or donate to sabotage…

Tag Day

Tag Day is a one-day fundraising event held each year when band and color guard students don their uniforms and go door to door in the local community to solicit donations. In the event that someone isn’t home, “tags” (or flyers) are left on doors with information about the program and how donations help.

Students groups are accompanied by booster volunteers who hold and account for all money collected.

'Snack Shack' Concessions

Parents, family members, and other booster volunteers operate The Snack Shack concession stand at the South end of the football field during all home football games, and occasionally during other BHS sporting events. All items sold in The Snack Shack are purchased and provided by the BBPA.

Revenues from The Snack Shack help fund band programs throughout the year.

The Raffle!

Each year the band sells tickets for a cash prize raffle. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from band students, family members, or at the BBPA table set up during home football games. You may also find a BBPA table at the Broomfield Days parade, or find band students selling tickets at King Soopers on Sundays in September and October. First Prize is 25% of all ticket sales, Second Prize is $250, and Third Prize is $100.
